China’s stainless steel export structure continues to be optimized.

According to the latest customs data, in the first five months, exports of stainless steel products reached US$8.7 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 12%. Among them, high-value-added products have shown particularly strong performance: the share of specialty stainless steel alloys has risen to 35%, and exports of customized kitchenware and tubes for medical devices have surged by 30% annually. Industry insiders analyze that, thanks to optimized material compositions and upgraded surface treatment technologies, domestically produced high-end stainless steel now possesses the strength to compete on an equal footing with products from Germany and Japan, gradually breaking away from the old pattern of "low prices and high volume."
